Description
With "cats" bending their "chicks" over the elbows, the "swing cats" are shown "in the groove" during the jam session. Pulses raced to the rhythm of "hide-beaters" (drummers) and "boys at the woodpile" (the band). It was no place for an "ickie" (one who doesn't know much about swing) or a "long-hair" (one who hates it). Photo dated: 1939.
