Photograph caption dated September 17, 1948 reads, "The first night audience was studded with Hollywood celebrities. Shirley Temple and her husband, John Agar, received a big cheer from the fans." The event was the "1949 Ice Follies - Fairyland of Beauty" at the Pan Pacific Auditorium.
