Photograph caption dated December 14, 1963 reads, "Kim Ellison, one of the greatest prep cross country runners in San Fernando Valley history was favored today to take the city championship race over the Pierce College course. Ellison, of Birmingham High School, is only a junior and has already set several records, while winning the West Valley League and All-Valley crowns."
