Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee December 4, 1966 reads: "Before the Galt-Arno Cemetery District was formed 10 years ago the old Hicksville Cemetery on Arno Road was in a sad state of neglect. Now the grass is watered and mowed regularly, a new fence has been put up to keep cattle out, and broken headstones have been repaired. It is beginning to be used again. Hicksville dates back to the 1970s."
