James Haspiel discusses his biography, “Marilyn.” He begins by explaining that he was a personal friend of Marilyn Monroe for 10 years and captured rare home videos and candid photographs of her. The two met when he was 16 and he became part of The Monroe Six, a group of young men who followed her around and made her feel young. Martinson shows several video recordings that Haspiel took of Monroe. He discusses the first time he met Marilyn Monroe, and how they shared a taxi. He explains several photographs in the book and tells anecdotes about places that she enjoyed visiting. He ends the interview by discussing her later life and what caused her great mistrust of actors.
