Description
Photograph of Monrovia residence viewed at a distance, perhaps belonging to Henry Waterman, ca.1920. In the extreme foreground at right, a section of a street and a curb can be seen. A large patch of grass including small shrubs and trees can be seen adjacent to the curb. In the background at center, a large two-story building is visible. A triangular awning supported by two large columns hangs over the front entrance. Two small windows with shutters can be seen on either side of the front door at the base level of the building, while five additional windows with shutters can be seen on the upper story. Protruding from the slanted roof, six additional windows are visible. To the far left, a large chimney runs along the exterior of the building. To the right, a wooden balcony sits atop a rectangular section of the house. In the extreme background, hills can be seen.
