Pictured here are a number of businesses located on Pine Avenue. A crowd has gathered in front of The Knit Shop at 242 Pine Avenue for a dollar sale. Four automobiles are parallel parked at the curb in front of the stores. The building at far left with the elaborate facade is Heck's Men's Store at 248 Pine Avenue. The taller multi-level building in the center of the image contains several businesses and signs. A large billboard mounted on the roof reads, "PHOTOGRAPHY." Two horizontal signs mounted on the front near the roofline read, "Hall-Pillsbury-Frank Block;" and "244 Winstead's Kodaks." Centered between two sets of upper level arched windows is a sign which reads [in part], "Portrait Studio." The central building contains two street-level storefronts. Signage for the shop on the left side of this building reads, "Kodaks, Winstead Bros [in neon] Finishing, Winstead Bros., Inc." The Knit Shop occupies the other storefront space, as noted above. Allen's Dollar Store is partly visible at far right in this image. Behind Allen's, another building is partly visible, and this message is painted on the side: "The Store That Inspires Its Patrons."
