Buddha's footprint carved in bas-relief on a stone slab and placed on a pedestal at the base of the stūpa's base. Between the feet with toes of equal length is a chattra or parasol--a Buddhist and Hindu symbol of protection and royalty. Other similar stones can be seen around the stūpa.
