Description
Two groups of men standing outside a storefront, engaged in conversation. An automobile is parked on the street. The stores include a shoe store, a bookstore and possibly gloves. This may be University Avenue in Palo Alto; the sign for Hyde's Books in the lower right-hand corner, and building design, appear to match a photograph from the Palo Alto Historical Society of Fuller and Company, 162 University Avenue, ca. 1900 (094-101). One of a series of early photographs taken by Harold Elliott of hiking and camping trips, girlfriends, friends.
