Photograph of two Shoshone Indian basket weavers from the Owens Valley, ca.1910. The two women are seated on the dirt in the foreground, hard at work on two baskets. Both women are wearing long dresses, long-sleeved shirts, and cloths over their heads. Between them on the ground is a large glass pitcher and a small tin cup. There is a wide tree behind them and behind the tree is a light-colored wooden fence. There is a wooden building in the background at right. Writing on the image reads "Smith Carson. Nev_ No. 203".
