Located at 1243 Trenton Street, the Mediterranean/Churrigueresque structure was designed by Morgan, Walls & Clements and built in 1925. When the Los Angeles Evening Herald and Express merged in 1931, it became the Herald-Express Building. After the Examiner merged with the Los Angeles Herald-Express in 1962, it was demolished sometime between the mid and late 1960s. Caption reads: "Here is part of large fleet of Yellow Cabs used to deliver thousands of toys to needy children in the annual Herald-Express Santa Clause Fund. Beverly Hills Transfer also donated a large truck to deliver the bulkier gifts. Aiding the drivers were volunteers from Boys and Girls Scouts". Photo dated: Dec. 24, 1958.
