Photograph of an aerial view of a swollen Los Angeles River showing the the Southern Pacific shops and its Alhambra Avenue roundhouse, Los Angeles, 1938. The river runs from the top of the image to the bottom at center. A great amount of water can be seen in the river. An assortment of large industrial buildings and cylindrical storage tanks lines the banks of the river. Railroad tracks and the Southern Pacific Los Angeles shops as well as a part of the SP's Alhambra Avenue roundhouse can be seen at right. Photoprint reads: "This photograph is loaned to you.
