Description
Queen's Float-Monrovia's 28th Anniversary - May 18 1914. First Queen of Monrovia Dorothy Stone. Attendants were Elizabeth Dixon, Irene Hammond, Dorothy Brown, Maybell Wessling. Dorothy Stone was the second Monrovia Day Queen, The first was Florence Kelly in the parade of 1912. There was no parade in 1913. According to a note in Wiley that in 1910 telephone wires on Myrtle Ave. were placed underground, but the white pole in the background shows them otherwise.
