Description
Photo shows some of the girls who work in the laundry room at the California Institution for Women in Corona. They not only do all the laundry for the institution staff and families of the staff, but also during the winter take care of the laundry for the Riverside School for the Deaf. They do about 50,000 pounds of laundry a week in the winter and about 30,000 during the summer. Photo dated: July 14, 1954.
