All the buildings are the O.K. Smith Ranch of Hayden Lake, Idaho, have been cut from the 500 acre woodland. The 12 acres near the house have been improved by thinning, pruning and seeding with legumes and used to pasture young stock for the past 15 years. He feels this has helped to control blister rust.
