Description
Dion Boucicault writes to Herman Charles Merivale regarding a copyright dispute. Rose Coghlan has agreed to pay for the rights to Merivale's "Forget-me-Not" and release the English and Australian rights. Boucicault also mentions his clerk, Townsend, who Boucicault thinks was trying to extract a commission on the payments because Merivale had addressed his letter to Townsend. See Dion Boucicault letter, undated (phl00557) and Dion Boucicault letter dated 1886 December 24 (phl00558) for more on the affair with Townsend.
