Photograph was edited for publication purposes; Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph dated June 12, 1964 shows, DWP owned, Franklin Canyon Reservoir located within Franklin Canyon at the eastern edge of the Santa Monica Mountains. The article partially reads, "Franklin Canyon Reservoir is there--fenced in--surrounded by beautiful and stately pine and other trees...There's a gravel and asphalt road that passes by the edge of the DWP property for those motorists who are curious enough to explore a side road. They can't get into the reservoir area, of course, because it's barricaded all around by chain-link fencing. Trespassers are not allowed. Hunters are barred. Fishermen the same."; See images #00117944 through #00117945 for all photos in this series which were composited together in publication.
