Description
Called “the ultimate nose-rider” in advertisements, “The Ugly” was produced by Con Surfboards of Santa Monica, California, in response to the noseriding craze of the mid-1960s. The blunt-nosed design of The Ugly and other specialized noseriding longboards encouraged such maneuvers as “hang five” (toes of the lead foot placed over the edge of the nose), “hang ten” (the same stunt with both feet), and “cheater five” (squatting on the board and extending one foot to the nose). 9 ft., 10 in.
