Photograph caption dated January 13, 1959 reads, "Added support for Pacoima Memorial Lutheran Hospital comes from Emmanuel Lutheran Church, North Hollywood, as the above trio shows. Left to right are Richard E. Gulbranson, chairman of the Industrial-Lutheran Committee; the Rev. Erling H. Wold, pastor, and congregational board president, Clinton K. Reitz. Emmanuel is one of 44 Valley Lutheran churches supporting the fund drive for Pacoima Memorial Lutheran Hospital. Groundbreaking for the 100-bed facility, to be operated by the San Fernando Valley Lutheran Hospital Association, is set for Jan. 31, second anniversary of Pacoima Junior High schoolyard plane crash."
