Description
The first of three televised lectures delivered at Sanders Theatre at Harvard University by Clark Kerr, President of the University of California. President Kerr is introduced by Nathan Pusey, President of Harvard University. The lecture focuses on the university as a functional part of society; how American universities moved from the British, to the German, to a purely American model of education; and how universities are governed.
