Description
Photograph article dated February 20, 1959 reads, "Three suspects today are being held in San Fernando jail on suspicion of taking a safe from a drive-in restaurant and dumping it in a lemon orchard. Arrested yesterday were James A. White, 19, of 13528 Sayre St., Sylmar; Billy M. Brown, 23, of 13711 Sayer St., Sylmar and James Williams, 25, of 116 Jesse St., night manager of the drive-in located at 1217 San Fernando Rd. The safe, with its door peeled off, was found last Wednesday following Monday's burglary. It was discovered in a lemon grove. Police say $2,600 and valuable papers were taken in the burglary."
