Description
Photograph article dated July 6, 1960 partially reads, "Veteran pilot of carrier aircraft that launch rocket planes, Maj. Fitzhugh Fulton of Edwards Air Force Test Center, is satisfied to be a part of the program that annually sends fliers reaching farther into space at faster speeds. He has dropped scores of experimental rocket craft from bomb bays of B-50 and B-58 Air Force planes since becoming a part of the program in 1950. His first launch was with the X-1."
