Photograph article dated July 6, 1960 partially reads, "Veteran pilot of carrier aircraft that launch rocket planes, Maj. Fitzhugh Fulton of Edwards Air Force Test Center, is satisfied to be a part of the program that annually sends fliers reaching farther into space at faster speeds. He has dropped scores of experimental rocket craft from bomb bays of B-50 and B-58 Air Force planes since becoming a part of the program in 1950. His first launch was with the X-1."
