Photograph caption dated July 14, 1961 reads, "Mayor Samuel W. Yorty, second from left, paid a visit Thursday to Engine Co. 78 at 4230 Coldwater Canyon Ave., Studio City. The fire station is just three blocks from his home. Lining up, from the left, are Division Commander Pat Ferguson, 5510 Sunnyslope Ave., Van Nuys; Yorty; Capt. Dan Evans, 4100 Beck Ave., North Hollywood, and firemen Herbert Smith, Granada Hills; Fred Westerlund, 23049 Calvert St., Woodland Hills; James McCarthy, 17125 Saticoy St., Van Nuys, and Herbert Brunwin, 6638 Benjamin Ave., Canoga Park."
