San Francisco: The Black Panthers see themselves as true revolutionaries seeking only justice for black Americans and other minorities. Their leaders are (top, 8/70 file photo) Huey Newton (L), co-founder and Minister of Defense, and David Hilliard, Party chief of staff; (bottom, L, 8/68 filer) Bobby Seale, co-founder and Asst. Min. of Defense; and Eldridge Cleaver, Min. of Information (bottom, R) shown displaying FBI wanted poster during Moscow stopover in 10/69 enroute to Algiers where he is enjoying political asylum.
