Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated February 4, 1963 reads, "New principals at the Valley's three new secondary schools welcomed approximately 3,000 students today as the spring semester opened. The principals, from left, are Dr. Gjurtrud Smith, Chatsworth High School; J. Falvo, George Ellery Hale Junior High, Woodland Hills, and Mrs. Priscilla Lehmann, William Mulholland Junior High, Van Nuys. A feature of Chatsworth High School is separate department buiuldings [sic] spread around the campus. Hale features some two-story buildings with outside halls. Mulholland was named for William Mulholland, who served several years as chief engineer and general manager of the City Bureau of Water and Power."
