This is a photograph of [left to right] Frs. Quirk, Murrett, John Walsh and Srs. Gemma and Brother Peter at a wedding in Darien [now Dalian], Manchuria. Born in New Hampshire, Fr. Quirk came to Maryknoll in 1926 and was ordained to the priesthood on January 26, 1930. He was assigned to Fushun, Manchuria and remained there until he was repatriated in 1943. He temporarily returned to Kweilin in 1946. He was missioned in Musoma, Africa and later Taiwan. -- Rev. Murrett was born in Buffalo, NY. He entered Maryknoll in 1913 and was ordained in 1923. His first assignment was to supervise the Asian students studying in the U.S. under Maryknoll sponsorship. He was assigned to Fushun in 1932 and returned to work in the U.S. in 1937.
