A picture of a horse's head framed by a horseshoe and an anvil can be seen at the center of the wooden sign reading "Maplesden Bros. General Blacksmithing. The sign hangs on a wooden post that can be seen to the left while the corner of the roof of the store can be seen to the right. In the background there can be seen trees as well as electrical lines that extend above the sign. Picture file card reads "The ringing anvil is still doing business on the road through this town. The old sign recalls the days that are gone in most parts of the country".
