Description
Survey of a two story Craftsmen house built in 1912 on 256 West Seventh Street. Oliver and Francis Duvall built this house after living at 319 Harvard Avenue. Mr. Duvall was in the Pomona College class of '95 and was the owner of the first bookstore in Claremont. He also served as post master at one time, and was on the board of directors of the First National Bank. Mrs. Duvall was the sister in law of Pomona College's first president, Cyrus G. Baldwin. A brief house description is also included with the survey form.
