Photograph shows the Superior Mine Electric Railroad bridge ruins - North arm of the Indian Valley, two miles North of Engelmine at China Gulch. This narrow gauge connected main facility at Engels with the upper camp, about five miles north. This railway brought Bornite copper ore to the mill at Engels for concentrating. Very little evidence is left to indicate that there ever was a railway in the area because of fast growing vegetation and soil erosion. From J.E. Boyton Collection.
