Description: Terraced grounds, gardens and an arcade carry out the Persian theme of the Samarkand Hotel in Santa Barbara, but the overall form and fenestration are modern. Built in 1922, it was designed by architects Ingwerson and Dennison. Seen here is a reflecting pool.
