Description
Two women and a girl are depicted in a room. The woman on the left inspects herself in the mirror on the wall. She wears a black bonnet with rose pink ribbon. Her dress is mint green with a white collar. She is wrapped in a light blue shawl with a rose pink paisley pattern and fringe on the bottom. The woman in the middle wears a black bonnet with deep red ribbon. Her dress is gray with a jewel neck and long full sleeves. There are black ruffles along her collar and down the center of her bodice. There are two rows of ruffles on her sleeves and three rows on her skirt. On the full white sleeves of her blouse are red rosettes. She holds a handkerchief in her right hand. The girl on the right wears a white costume, probably for her first communion. Her veil falls from a wreath of white flowers, tied under her chin with a white ribbon and ends just above the floor. Her dress has a jewel neck and long full sleeves. There is a bow at her waist. Her bodice has fabric gathered vertically into the center front, and the cuffs and the hem are bordered with narrow pintucks or perhaps white on white stripes.
