Description
Shown is a small booklet containing images of employees of the Governor's Office, assembled by Alice Jones who served as Steno-Pool Supervisor beginning in 1950. Jones made a note just inside of the cover indicating that the photographs were taken before her stint at the Governor's Office, circa 1944. Pictured are Governor Earl Warren's employees: Bill Sweigert, Chief of Staff; Verne Scoggins, Press Secretary; Beach Vasey, Press Secretary; (not legible); Sgt. Ed Dyas, California Highway Patrol Sergeant and Governor Ed Warren's driver; James Welsh, Clemency Secretary; Alice S. Anderson, Clemency Cleric; Dorothy Pearce, Cleric; Alice Jones, Steno-Pool Supervisor; Bonnie Carmack, Supervisor of Incoming Mail; Zuba Stack; Laverne Lacey; Mary Chase; Dorothy Schafer; and Janet Scholl.
