Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated June 15, 1961 partially reads, "The end of an era and beginning of a new one has come for the Lowman School for the Physically Handicapped in North Hollywood. The first child ever to go all the way through the special public school's program has been graduated. He is Tommy Ritter, 14, son of Western entertainer, Tex Ritter, 10063 Toluca Lake Ave., North Hollywood. The youngster entered the nursery class the day the school opened in February 1950. He received his diploma Wednesday from Dr. Charles LeRoy Loman, orthopedic surgeon for whom the school is named."
