Description
Jon Fasman discusses his book, “The Geographer’s Library.” He begins by saying how he takes inspiration from history although his book is not strictly historical. He talks about the plot of the book and the significance of iconic items that go missing throughout the story. Martinson asks him to read the first few pages of the novel. Fasman talks about the writing process and how it took him 9 drafts and rewrites to get to the final copy. He discusses what living in Russia was like while writing the book and talks about the importance of alchemy in Russia and how that became incorporated into the plot.
