Description
Portrait of woman seated in chair with her right arm resting on pedestal. She is wearing a long, dark dress with buttons up the front of the bodice, and pleated ribbon detail on the cuffs. A small lace collar is peaking out from the collar of the bodice, and around her neck is an accent of ribbon with four knotted tassles. Her hair is parted in the middle and pinned up in braids in the back, and she is wearing long drop earrings in the shape of stars (?). From a leather-bound album containing 23 cabinet cards and cartes-de-visite. Most of the studios were located in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, especially Lowell, although the cartes-de-visite were taken in California.
