Photograph of earthquake damage shown along a street, Compton, March 1933. In the extreme foreground at center, a wide road can be seen extending into the extreme background. A small sidewalk can be seen on either side of the road, and a line of utility poles is visible at left. An automobile is parked at an angle along the left curb, while a truck and crane can be seen traveling on the road in the background. The sign "Owl Truck & Materials Co." can be seen on the front of the crane. In the background at left, a large, wide structure can be seen. The front portion of this building is heavily damaged, and debris litters the floor. A large group of men stand in front of the dilapidated structure. A group of smaller buildings can be seen at right.
