The festival, taking up four city blocks, between 1st and 4th along Grand, was expected to draw 20,000 people to Downtown Los Angeles, offering a day of free family entertainment which included free music and dance performances, exhibitions, screenings and arts workshops. The festival was spawned from a 2003 event timed to the opening of Disney Hall. City Hall peeks out in the background on the right. Photograph dated October 8, 2005.
