Photograph caption dated July 12, 1965 reads "Getting in practice for the 11th annual swim party of the San Fernando Emblem Club 37 to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Pilarski of San Fernando are, from left, Mrs. Joan Mahaffey of Canoga Park, chairman; Bill Burns of Northridge, one of the cooks, and Mrs. Jane Thisselle of Lakeview Terrace, co-chairman. After swimming, games and dancing a steak dinner will be barbecued by Elk husbands Bill Burns, John Johnson, Jim Mahaffey and Bob Thisselle. Proceeds will go into the club treasury to be used for charity."
