View from below, looking up in Japanese garden of G.W. Wattles' residence, shows footbridge over waterfall and pond, garden shrine, rocks, trees; 1824 Curson Avenue, Hollywood.
Gurdon W. Wattles was born in Richford, N.Y. in 1855. Was financier in the East, coming to Los Angeles beginning in 1904, settling permanently in 1922. Owned estate in Hollywood, part of which was developed into Wattles Garden. Died in 1932.
