Photograph caption dated September 29, 1963 reads "Ray Hermanson, manager of marketing services for Western Precipitation, a division of Joy Manufacturing, whose product is used extensively in the San Fernando Valley area, is shown at left accepting the Association of Industrial Advertisers (A.I.A.) 1963 'Man of the Year' award from president Edward Williams. The recipient of the coveted award is determined by a vote of A.I.A.'s past presidents, based upon his dedication to the organization. Hermanson was A.I.A.'s current president at the time of the presentation."
