Description
"Beschneidungsfeier. Fell-Schlägerinnen beim Tanz der Beschnittenen" ("Circumcision ceremony. Fur-beaters at the dancing of circumcised people"). Eight women are standing around a piece of tautened skin. They are barefooted and dressed in dark cloths and shawls. They are wearing headpieces, detached adornments (earrings, necklaces). One woman ( on the right side) is carrying a baby at her back. On the right, a few women are sitting aground. One is wrapped in a light-coloured cloth.
