Description: Ron Kovic, spokesman for the American Veterans Movement (AVM), right, holds up an announcement for the planned march on Washington during the group's April 17, 1974 press conference at the Greater Los Angeles Press Club. Man to the left is Bill Unger. Veteran Kovic is paralyzed from the waist down due to the war in Vietnam and has become a spokesman for those disenchanted with the war.
