Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated April 24, 1962 reads, "Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Schwartz, who live west of Palmdale, make bouquet from bright orange wild flowers growing along Avenue I, a few miles west of Lancaster. A profusion of the flowers may be seen along Backus Rd. west of U.S. Highway 6, near Rosamond, and at many other locations along Antelope Valley byways. Current maps to help in locating flowers can be obtained from Lancaster Chamber of Commerce office at 44943 N. Tenth St. West, Lancaster."
