Photograph of a document detailing the duties of Deputy Zanjeros, who attended to the Los Angeles water supply, June 13, 1879. An ornamental title is pictured at the top of the document, while the disclaimer "By Order of the Council of the City of Los Angeles. W.W. Robinson, Clerk of the Council" is pictured at the bottom. The document begins "All deputy Zanjeros shall be under the control and subject to the order of the Zanjero".
