Photograph article dated April 17, 1961 partially reads, "When Mrs. Chester L. Migden, Coldwater Canyon PTA school education chairman, was named to head the committee in 1959, she came up with an idea that has attracted Valleywide attention in PTA circles. The idea was a program of 'aid to teachers' by committee members and parent volunteers to provide simple visual aid material, and assistance to the teachers for other classroom projects. Member of the PTA's 'work committee' meet at the school from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. one day each week to rebind books, clip pictures from old magazines, paste up flash cards and devise other items for classroom use." Mrs. Chester Migden displays alphabet cards used to aid in spelling.; See images #00129972 through #00129975 for all photos in this series.
