Title supplied by cataloger.; The John Verzi Collection consists of approximately 13,000 mounted slides taken between 1960-1990 of actors and actresses, musicians, politicians, and other notable personalities. John Verzi (1934-2018) was a postal worker who took images of celebrities as a personal hobby. Possessing an uncanny ability for recognizing aging stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age as well as up and coming personalities, Verzi pursued his hobby primary in Los Angeles, but also in New York, England, France, Mexico, and Sweden. Despite the volume of the collection, Verzi’s interest was purely recreational, and he never shared or monetized his images. The Los Angeles Public Library acquired the collection in 2022. Sue Lyon and Hampton Fancher arrive leave the Reiss Davis Clinic for Child Guidance, at 9760 Pico Blvd., where they attended a benefit dinner following the premiere of the film "The Cardinal" at the Egyptian Theatre. The date handwritten on the slide is December 19, 1963.
