Description
A penciled notation on image back states: "Flower-bordered walk leading to the picnic and recreation areas of Bixby Park, located at east Ocean Boulevard and Cherry Avenue. This beautiful park is the scene of many annual State Society picnics." A large bed of red flowers are featured in the foreground of this image, and behind them extends a long walkway lined with small blooming bedding plants and small Cypress trees. One lone palm tree planted in the lawn is also noted at right, and a pine tree at left also extends its branches into the photo. Portions of mowed green lawn are visible extending into the background. DATE NOTES: Marked on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 3.5" x 5.5" color glossy postcard image.
