Description: Fred Bloomquist, 55, a Columbia painter, was kicked and slugged during the violence at the Warner Brothers' Studio strike. He is shown here being taken to the hospital. The Warner Brothers' Studio became a scene of violence during the strike of October 5, 1945, where police and deputy sheriffs used tear gas and water from fire hoses, to smash a picket line of CSU union workers. Several other people were also injured.
