Photograph of the southern adobe of Manuel Garcia at Little Rock Creek, Antelope Valley, ca.1885. Two wagons sit in front of the small structure, one drawn by horses, the other by a mule. About seven people (men, women, children) stand or sit in and around the wagons. A low brush-covered embankment is visible in the background. Garcia was the first settler at Little Rock Creek and was killed nearby by a bear.
