Description
Exterior view of a residence, located at 10664 Mountain View Avenue in Loma Linda, once owned by Anson and Elizabeth Van Leuven. Designed by Elizabeth in 1872 after the first Van Leuven home was destroyed, this structure consists of locally made clay bricks and was not completed until 1884. The home was later converted into an apartment house called Mountain View Mansion. Anson Van Leuven, an early Mormon settler, served as sheriff and oversaw a successful citrus business.
